Five Must Read Kindle Slasher Horror Books

It’s no surprise to anyone that I like my slasher stories. Originally starting with my love for Friday the 13th and Halloween before more deeper dive into the less wide stream known gems of the genre Sleepaway Camp and Sorority House Massacre II.

Luckily for us fans of 80s and 90s slashers, the slasher horror genre is alive in well in Kindle books. Here are some recommendations.

Triple Axe by Scott Cole

A deranged killer is on the loose, targeting adult entertainers, and choking them to death with a weapon that leaves no trace of itself. When the authorities refuse to help Jesse and her two closest friends, the three women decide to take matters into their own hands . . . with axes. As their colleagues fall one by one, they have a plan to stay alive—and they’re ready to hatchet!

All Hallow’s Dead by Bryan Smith

It’s Halloween week in Willow Springs, TN, and a mad slasher is on the loose! Twenty-five years ago, a group of local boys did a very bad thing. Now a masked killer is leaving a trail of corpses and bloody pumpkins all over town. Brutal vengeance against his former tormentors and thirty-one dead for Halloween are the madman’s demented goals. As the body count mounts, local law enforcement scrambles to track down the seemingly unstoppable killer and bring the carnage to an end.

The Unseen by Bryan Smith

For Allison Cook, the weekend trip to a horror convention in Virginia is a fun break from work and humdrum reality. Then she meets a guy who shows her a movie that shouldn’t exist, one that upends everything she thinks she knows about reality itself. The movie on the old VHS tape is an unseen and unknown installment of a legendary slasher franchise she’s loved since the dark days of her unhappy adolescence. As soon as she sees it, she knows the movie is the real deal, not a fake or a fan film. She can only come to one impossible conclusion–the movie is from some other alternate reality. It is not of this world.

Babysitter Bloodbath by Regina Watts

You’ve played the game, now read the book! The first novelization in Puppet Combo’s VHS Terrors Series: Babysitter Bloodbath, puts you right in the middle of a classic 80s SLASHER!

A brutal atrocity happened 22 years ago in the very same neighborhood, completely forgotten by this small town, but not forgotten by the monster who committed it. Neokalus Burr will be violently released from his long stay in Monroe State Hospital… and Sarah will finally get to meet the long-forgotten horror of her town’s past.

The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix

In horror movies, the final girls are the ones left standing when the credits roll. They made it through the worst night of their lives…but what happens after?

Lynnette Tarkington is a real-life final girl who survived a massacre. For more than a decade, she’s been meeting with five other final girls and their therapist in a support group for those who survived the unthinkable, working to put their lives back together. Then one woman misses a meeting, and their worst fears are realized—someone knows about the group and is determined to rip their lives apart again, piece by piece.
